I discovered an interesting way to map out Disney World. There is a very nice Google Map of the parks here. Of course, a Google map isn't very practical for finding your way around inside the parks, but you can convert a Google map into a GPS map using a nifty little web site called take it with me.
Why would you want to use a GPS inside the parks? Well, if you are intimately familiar with the parks, you probably wouldn't. However, if you've never been before, the parks can be confusing. Also, these maps include all the bathrooms, which when you have small kids can be a big help. Disney does a great job of hiding their bathrooms some times. It could be handy to find the closest bathroom.
Then again, you could always ask the nearest cast member. They are always happy to help. When I lived in Winter Garden, just outside of Orlando, my friends who worked at the park told me that the street sweepers where drilled on guest services and park information because they had more contact with guests than any other cast members. Although they swept, they were also there to answer questions and interact with guests.

Disney's Enchanted Call
Disney's Enchanted Call
Scheduling a call for your child is quick and easy! Just choose a Disney Character and theme, personalize your phone call, and select the date/time/location that the Disney Character should call.I'm going to give this a try next time I want to reward one of my kids for doing well in school! I think my girls will get a kick out of this.
